In response to the decisions of the Vilnius City Municipality and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania regarding the coronavirus pandemic in the world, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society is cancelling concert.
Works by Joseph Haydn, Edvard Grieg, Béla Bartók, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Alexandrr Glazunov, Antonio Vivaldi, Piotr Tchaikovsky, Maurice Ravel, Antonín Dvořák
It is an educational concert for listeners of all ages. Simona Zajančauskaitė and the members of Čiurlionis Quartet will uncover a lot of secrets about string instruments and how to play them, in an interesting and creative way will introduce the audience with music expression means (after all, you might want to know what is melody, rhythm, meter, tempo, dynamics, timbre, harmony?), will also clarify what that string quartet is.
Works of art reflecting on the seasons – spring, summer, autumn and winter – have been created in all eras: this theme is one of the most popular. Writers, artists and, of course, composers wanted to perpetuate the changes of the seasons: excerpts of their works will be heard at this concert.
