Having named the concert after the song by Henri Duparc and Charles Baudelaire, the renowned Russian performers invite to discover mysterious musical trails. Mezzo-soprano Mila Shkirtil, a graduate of St. Petersburg Conservatoire, performs in in her native country, Europe, the USA, Brazil and Japan appearing as opera, cantata and oratorio soloist as well as chamber musician. She has recorded CDs of Shostakovich, Glinka, Glazunov and Gavrilin’s works for the prestigious Naxos label.
Pianist and conductor Yuri Serov studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (St. Petersburg), Salzburg and Vienna (Austria). He performs in both capacities around the world, collaborates with major orchestras. As a pianist he has recorded over 70 CDs for Naxos and Delos labels. Currently, he serves as a director of the Modest Mussorgsky Music College in St. Petersburg and the artistic director of the youth orchestra. Serov is the founder and artistic director of several music festivals.
