Tango nuevo compositions and arrangements for piano and accordion

Chilean pianist Tania Naranjo and Finnish accordionist Minna Weurlander offer an original combination of different cultures. Indeed, they are united by one passion – Tango Nuevo. The critics describe the musicians as “world class duo with passion, sadness, virtuosity and impetuous joy”. Residents of Sweden, they can often be heard on the Swedish National Radio or on their concert tours in Scandinavia and other countries. The Duo performs own compositions influenced by Tango Nuevo tradition. Their recent release, album Entwined, has earned wide acclaim. Tania Naranjo performs worldwide, has appeared as a soloist with symphony orchestras as well as improviser and singer. Her solo album La Industria Del Miedo reveals the source of her inspiration – jazz, Argentine Tango and Andean folk music. Minna Weurlander has worked with symphony orchestras as well as contemporary, experimental dance and theatre along with film productions. Her music has been heavily influenced by the Russian accordion tradition and, of course, by the Argentine Tango. Minna Weurlander has previously released two solo albums Usva and Señora del destino.
