Symphonic Fireworks for the New Year

As a tradition on the last evening of the year the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and its artistic director Maestro Modestas Pitrėnas put a splendid feast on. Again the domes of the National Philharmonic will be filled with symphonic miniatures as well as popular Viennese opera and operetta arias. The festive symphony will be boosted with an appearance of charming soloists: Katerina Tretyakova (soprano) and Anastasia Lebedyantseva (mezzo-soprano).
Tretyakova studied vocal in Lithuania, Austria and Germany. Currently a soloist with the prestigious Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, she is always eagerly awaited by her connoisseurs in Lithuania. In 2013, the soloist won Francisco Viñas International Singing Competition, one of the biggest and most influential vocal competitions in Europe, which witnessed the triumphant emergence of Violeta Urmana in 1992.
The Lithuanian audience is well acquainted with Lebedyantseva – after her studies in Moscow and Riga she arrived in Lithuania to study with Irena Milkevičiūtė. In spring of 2018, she appeared at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Hall in Verdi’s Falstaff concert production featuring the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre Symphony Orchestra, and in spring 2019 she was part of Richard Strauss music fiesta with the LNSO led by Maestro Pitrėnas.
