Part of the ORCHESTRAL SERIES

The memory of the tragically perished principal clarinettist of the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and excellent instrumentalist Algirdas Doveika (1957-2006) will be revisited with music about sadness and joy, the eternal satellites of man’s life.

Along the LNSO, the audience will meet Edvardas Armonas, a winner of international cello competitions in Czech Republic (1994), Austria (1996), Germany (1996) and Greece (2004). His artistry was acknowledged by Mstislav Rostropovich, Yo-Yo Ma, David Geringas, Arto Noras and other masters of the cello.

Modestas Pitrėnas, a gold medallist of the prestigious Fitelberg International Conductors’ Competition in Katowice (Poland, 2003), has already led the LNSO in a number of memorable programmes.
