Mozart’s Magical Flute

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s instrumental music, excerpts from the opera Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute)

Mozart was very fond of flute, wrote several pieces for this instrument and named one of the most beautiful of his operas Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute)! The latter inspired the poetess Violeta Palčinskaitė to write the fairy tale Mozart’s Magical Flute. A masterful interpretation of the opera’s libretto is full of symbols, metaphors, hidden codes, this book teaches one to understand human feelings and weaknesses, and invites to enjoy the music of the genial Austrian composer.

Thus, at this concert we will meet the heroes: Princess Pamina, Prince Tamino, Papageno and Papagena, and maybe even see the Queen of the Night herself. The flute does wonders! Little Wolfgang composed his first works at the age of five, and at six he performed in the large palaces where he was listened to by nobles, emperors and kings.
