Last year, on October 6th, Montserrat Caballé, the Spanish opera legend, has passed away. This year’s project is unlike previous events for the gala concert will prospectively include original interactive exhibition. Internationally acclaimed soloists – Caballé’s daughter Montserrat Marti and Nomeda Kazlaus as well as pianist Onutė Gražinytė, currently continuing her education in Germany, will grace the stage. Prior to and after the concert in the foyer of the Philharmonic an unprecedented exposition of large-scale photographs revisiting the most memorable moments of the collaboration of the three performers will be presented. The excerpts from the collaborative performances of songs will be streamed on the screens, the unique publication Caballé 40 anys al Liceu, featuring moments from Saint-Saëns’ opera Henry VIII historic productions at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, will be on display.
