Works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and improvisations
Representatives of the musical dynasty – brothers Motiejus, Mykolas and Benediktas Bazarai – will perform in this concert with Musica humana ensemble. It will be a bit of an unusual Philharmonic concert – we will hear a lot of Mozart and a lot of improvisations!
All three brothers are pianists, but they are no strangers to a wide range of musical activities. Motiejus Bazaras, expanding his horizons of musical interests as a broad-profile pianist-keyboardist, regularly collaborates with jazz, rock and all sorts of other groups, participates in festivals and musical projects, is engaged in arranging and composition. Mykolas and Benediktas, brilliant multi-instrumentalists, also contribute to the development and realisation of various creative ideas. Surrounded by music-making parents and brothers from an early age, Mykolas did not resist the temptation to also try out the possibilities of other instruments – bass guitar and double bass. Benediktas has repeatedly won laurels in various competitions. His other important activity is the tunning and restoration of pianos. All brothers team-up in Bazarai Brothers and Bazarai JazzTrain.
And what does the mysterious title of the concert 68 Min. M. hide? Robertas Beinaris, the artistic director of Musica humana ensemble and the generator of this program, says that the letter M has many possibilities – for example, it could be 68 minutes of music, or Mozart?
