Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra’s Christmas concert will offer extraordinary treats: Concertante for three oboes and orchestra by German composer Th. Von Schacht and Violin Concerto No 4 in D major, the latter performed by our favourite violinist Sergej Krylov (the conductor and artistic director). The evening will be crowned with Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio performed in collaboration with Kaunas State Choir and soloists. Saint-Saëns, the then organist of Le Madeleine Church in Paris, composed this composition in less than two weeks completing it just several days before its performance on Christmas 1858.

Patron of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra VIRGINIJUS STRIOGA
