WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART – Overture to the opera Così fan tutte (Women are Like That); Concerto for piano and orchestra No. 21 in C major, KV 467; Symphony No. 41 in C major, KV 551 (Jupiter)
This concert is dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! Composer Giedrius Kuprevičius has shared his intriguing and novel thoughts on Mozart in the radio program Audiologues: “I am completely certain of the vitality, relevance, nonpareil emotional richness, the soundness of musical thought as well as flair and modernity of musical expression of the music of this genial composer. (…) Mozart’s music harbours so many secrets regardless of how many times one listens to it – like fairy-tales red in childhood, with each return it uncovers new meanings, fresh turns of thought, puts forward new questions that provoke other answers.”
