Pianist Guoda Gedvilaitė, the mastermind of the concert series, invites to an intriguing Salon of Clara Schumann. “It is a novel concert series in which the 19th-century musicians Clara and Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Franz Liszt, Frederic Chopin and Niccolò Paganini, as well as writers George Sand, Honoré de Balzac, Alexandre Dumas and Hans Christian Andersen, painter Eugène Delacroix, actress Marie Dorval and other historic personalities “get alive” and “meet” the audience. The Salon will be the setting not only for music, but also poetry reading and chatter with guests. Thus, the listeners and viewers will be part of it. We hope, that they will feel like in the 19th century.

The series’ first concert will host His Highness Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV and his spouse Elisabeth of Bavaria, Clara and Robert Schumann, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and his wife Cécile Charlotte. Hans Christian Andersen will read his fairy-tales. The soirée takes place in 1843, thus we suggest you leave your mobile phones at home and get carried by the 19th-century peaceful flow of time…”
