Instrumental jazz compositions, works by the ensemble members

Since his debut, the young and talented trumpeter Dominykas Vyšniauskas has appeared in all jazz festivals in Lithuania as well as festivals in the Netherlands (North See Jazz), Switzerland, Iceland, Turkey, France, Estonia and Belarus among many others, gave concerts in the USA and Canada, collaborated with international projects. On jazz scene the trumpeter has sided his famous father Petras Vyšniauskas, Michael Moore, Vijay Iyer, Jazzwerkstatt, Anatoly Vapirov, Vytautas Labutis, Saulius Šiaučiulis, Liudas Mockūnas, Igoris Brilius and many others, collaborated with Mezcal Jazz Unit (France), Dream Big Band (Estonia), Swinging Europe European Youth Jazz Orchestra, GHO Orchestra, Lithuanian Radio and Television Big Band, Kaunas Big Band, etc. Having received a rich schooling – after graduation from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre he furthered his education in Leipzig Music College, Amsterdam Conservatoire and SUNY Purchase College in New York – he is similarly at ease with jazz standards, his own improvised compositions as well as academic music. This afternoon sharing the stage with outstanding musicians – Vytautas Mikeliūnas (violin), Eugenijus Kanevičius (double bass) and Arnas Mikalkėnas (accordion) – Vyšniauskas invites to let yourself be engulfed by meditative chamber music, created on the spot and improvised in a style of trumpeter Dave Douglas.
