“A strange thing happened – the King forgot the alphabet. He called me in the middle of the night and asked me for an advice, for a king without an alphabet is like a king without a kingdom. Possibly, even worse. Without the knowledge how to read and write no king would be able to govern his kingdom. Then I decided to write this book and Ula Vaičiūnaitė agreed to illustrate it. The book is dedicated not only to the King but also every one of you; to those who already know the letters and especially those who with the help of parents or grandmas and grandpas will start learning. In a poem you will be able to recognise already familiar letters and discover many interesting little details in the cheerful drawings of the artist”, wrote poetess Violeta Palčinskaitė, the author of the book. Based on this book, she has put a libretto for this musical event.
