Part of the MUSIC IN TRAKAI CASTLE Series

Formed in 2005, the Quorum male vocal ensemble became a prize winner in Silver Voices 2010 national competition for soloists and vocal ensembles. This collective stands out due to its unique sound: male singers perform all voices from the lowest bass to the highest sopranino. In five years the ensemble has built up the repertoire featuring early music, favourite classical melodies, pop music and jazz arrangements majority of which are credited to Vitalij Neugasimov, the ensemble’s artistic director.

The Quorum enjoys improvisation, which allows discovering new colours in every performance. In Trakai Castle the ensemble offers a tour through various stylistic terrains. The concert will open with refined renaissance compositions resonating perfectly with the hall’s architecture. Aficionados of baroque, classical and romantic music will be entertained as well. The concert will be crowned with the 20th-century pop and jazz arrangements.
