I am not indifferent to this jubilee. I just finished working on the cycle for the bass and string quartet In the Voice of Maironis. Liudas Mikalauskas asked me to compose a work on the poems by Maironis. I am happy to see our performers’ attention to national culture.” (G. Kuprevičius)
