Čiurlionis Quartet has recently been indulging audiences not only with academic music, but also intriguing projects of other music trends such as retrospective of authentic Indian music featuring sarod, refined compositions for string quartet and harp, guitar or pan flute. On this occasion the Quartet joins the stage with colleague cellist Allar Kaasik. He studied in Tallinn, Moscow and Riga, has been a member of the Estonian National Symphony and other orchestras for fifteen years. Today he is known as ardent advocate of contemporary Estonian music performing works many of which were dedicated to him.

The five gentlemen program works by composers from different epochs – baroque touchstone Bach, Viennese classicist Beethoven, romanticists Schubert, Tchaikovsky and Borodin, legendary Catalonian cellist Pablo Casals (the junction of the 19th and 20th c.) as well as modernists Veljo Tormis and Galina Grigorjeva.
