Formed in 2005, Quorum male vocal ensemble is unique in its sound – all parts, from the bass to the soprano, are performed by male voices. It is the only ensemble in Lithuania performing both vocal and instrumental music a cappella. The ensemble’s repertoire is broad, ranging from early music to popular and jazz music arrangements, the contributor of which is most often Vitalij Neugasimov, the Artistic Director. Whilst performing original arrangements, the musicians often improvise, giving their works a different tone each time. For this afternoon Quorum offers a refined early music programme resounding perfectly with the ambiance of Trakai Castle.
