Do birds listen to music? Yes! In his cheerful story actor-puppeteer Linas Zubė tells how two birds, dwelling backstage, get into the stage manager’s hands. They start talking: the curious Magpie keeps questioning, and the sharp-witted Owlet answering smartly. Zubė’s characters Magpie and Owlet not only listen to the concert, but also are much more versed in music and brass instruments than the “old chap” supervising the hall. The cheerful birds will playfully comment the performance, introduce brass instruments, performers and works, and teach our little guests the listener’s etiquette.

In the company of the Magpie and Owlet we will listen to Klaipėda Brass Quintet performing puckish Frog’s Romance by V. Trojan, the popular Pink Panther by V. Mancini, The Entertainer by S. Joplin, as well as works by Purcell, Scheidt, J. S. Bach–Gounod and C. M. von Weber. This jolly spectacle was produced at the Klaipėda Concert Hall.
