Programme: works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Vaida Striaupaitė-Beinarienė, Osvaldas Balakauskas, Algirdas Martinaitis

In the first concert of the 4th Johann Sebastian Bach Music Festival the soloists, Musica humana ensemble and Vilnius State Choir perform works by the Baroque genius and contemporary Lithuanian composers V. Striaupaitė-Beinarienė (Ancestors’ Letters), O. Balakauskas (Odyssey – 3) and A. Martinaitis (Musical Offering).

According to Prof. Algirdas Vizgirda, the initiator and artistic director of the J. S. Bach Music Festival, the recipient of the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize, J. S. Bach’s music extends signal and timeless values, hidden in the soul of the humanity, awakening our faith, hope, love and compassion.
