According to Prof. Algirdas Vizgirda, the initiator and artistic director of the 5th International J.S. Bach Music Festival, recipient of the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize, J.S. Bach’s music communicates universally important and ever relevant issues, residing in the depths of every human being, and triggers faith, hope, love and compassion in our hearts.

The festival’s opening concert programs the baroque genius’ Brandenburg Concerto No 1, cantatas and Magnificat for choir, soloists and orchestra.
