In a wake of spring the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and its honorary conductor Maestro Juozas Domarkas team up with Viktorija Miškūnaitė, one of the leading Lithuanian opera soloists. A recipient of two Golden Stage Crosses, Miškūnaitė is a prize winner of Zenonas Paulauskas Young Singers Competition, the International Young Singers Competition Song for a City (Kaunas), and Vincė Jonuškaitė-Zaunienė Competition for Female Singers as well as Chamber Singing Competition Beatričė. Since 2006, the soloist has given a number of concerts in Lithuania and abroad, appeared with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Rūta and Zbignevas Ibelhauptas Duo, Čiurlionis Quartet, Vilnius Choir, taken part in Gaida Contemporary Music Festival, Druskininkai Art Festival and Tytuvėnai Summer Festival. In 2012, Miškūnaitė took part in the ECA and SWR Baden-Baden Symphony Orchestra European tour, appeared in Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Teatro Real in Madrid, Luzern Festival, Strasbourg, and performed the role of Young Girl in A. Schönberg’s opera Moses und Aron. In 2012, she has made her Lithuanian Opera and Ballet Theatre debut as Rosalinde in the premiere of J. Strauss’ operetta Die Fledermaus.

Tonight the Lithuanian musicians present an audience with a garland of playful dances and polkas, operetta arias and orchestral compositions.
