JĀNIS IVANOVS –Adagio from the Concerto for cello and orchestra in B minor
JĀNIS MEDIŅŠ – Suite for orchestra No. 3
Arias from the operas by Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, Jules Massenet, Piotr Tchaikovsky, Amilcare Ponchielli and other composers

The Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Modestas Pitrėnas invite to a memorable meeting with Vaidas Vyšniauskas, an internationally acclaimed Lithuanian tenor also known as Kristian Benedikt. Recently he appeared as Samson in the romantic opera Samson et Dalila (Samson and Delilah) at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre. In the near future he will sing this role in the prestigious Metropolitan Opera. Tonight Kristian Benedikt will offer impressive tenor arias from the operas by Puccini, Verdi, Massenet, Tchaikovsky and other 19th century composers.

In addition, tonight’s concert programme will include the music of 20th c. Latvian composers and appearance of Latvian cellist Kristap Berg. He was lucky to deepen his professional knowledge under the legendary baton and cello masters Mstislav Rostropovich and Heinrich Schiff.
