Latvian coloratura soprano Gelgotė graduated from Latvian and Lithuanian music academies. Since 2009, she has been a soloist with the Latvian National Opera, and since 2012 – with the Lithuanian national Opera and Ballet Theatre. She has also taken part in Vilnius City Opera productions. In addition to numerous opera engagements Gelgotė is an ardent enthusiast of contemporary music, has collaborated with organists Balys Vaitus and Vidas Pinkevičius, pianist Indrė Baikštytė, appeared with the Latvian National SO, Kaunas City SO, Schleswig-Holstein Festival SO, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonietta Riga, Kremerata Baltica, etc. The singer is a winner of national and international competitions, a recipient of Grand Prix of Latvia for the Debut of the Year (2009).

The Lithuanian Flute Quartet unites musicians some of whom have been collaborating since they were schoolmates at the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts. Lina Baublytė, Albertas Stupakas and Giedrius Gelgotas have been playing flute trio since 1990. Fausta Drūlytė joined them in 1996, after completing her studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Winners of national and international competitions, the four musicians are members of various Lithuanian orchestras. The Flute Quartet earned international recognition in 1999 when it garnered third prize, the prize for the best performance of contemporary composition and special prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Illzach, France.
