Part of the CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES

Vilniaus Arsenalas Chamber Ensemble presents a traditional All Saints’ Day programme, composed of works by classical and Lithuanian composers. For this concert the trio chose to perform new versions of works by two Lithuanian composers – Jurgis Juozapaitis and Teisutis Makačinas. Julija Stupnianek, a soloist with the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre and the trio’s regular partner will join the musicians.

“Professional command of a beautiful voice, self-control and suggestiveness, youth <…> were felt in every composition. She did not lack sense of style in Cleopatra’s aria from Händel’s Giulio Cesare and Fiordiligi’s aria from Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, outstanding cantilena in Adriana Lecouvreur’s aria from Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur and dramatic element in Amelia’s scene and aria from Verdi’s Un ballo di maschera, as well as genuine emotion in Russian romances and charm in Juozas Gruodis’ miniatures.”
