Tonight Trimitas State Wind Instrument Orchestra invites to its new programme. Always brimming with intriguing original projects (recently it has presented a new staged musical fairy tale Trimitas City by Antanas Kučinskas, took part in festival Trimitas Summer, and also the programme for the 450th anniversary of the signing the Union of Lublin in Poland, and International Wind Orchestra Festival in Beijing as well as other events in Lithuania and abroad), Trimitas anticipates New Year with a special programme. This time the Orchestra shares the stage with Vytautas Sondeckis, a winner of international competitions, the principal cello of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, a member of The G-Strings String Quartet. In 2001, the Classical KDFC (American radio station) announced him one of the world’s 30 best young performers. V. Sondeckis will collaborate with Trimitas in Austrian pianist and composer Friedrich Gulda’s Concerto – a unique opus five movements of which display crossover of classical and jazz styles, elements of minuet, march, polka and even rock music. The concert programme also features a premiere of Lars Danielsson’s work and other festive compositions.
