Claviola Trio is an ensemble of unique line-up (clarinet, viola and piano).  According to pianist Ugnė Antanavičiūtė, ensembles of this kind usually form for one concert or project, however Claviola has kept performing for ten years. Even considering the European scope this is a singular case. Trio formed as a student chamber ensemble in 2007 while still at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (prof. Audronė Pšibilskienė, later prof. Julius Andrejevas). A winner of international competitions in Lithuania, Italy, Latvia and Switzerland, Claviola took part in chamber music seminars “Prag-Wien-Budapest” (Austria) and was awarded Isa Kammermusik-Preis, honed the professional skills under the tutelage of renowned professors. Trio performs various programmes, since 2012 has participated in the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society’s educational program Music Encyclopaedia Live. In 2013, Claviola released its debut CD.

Trio boasts more than ten compositions dedicated to Claviola. This 10th anniversary concert introduces two works dedicated to the Trio: Marius Salynas’ Serpentine inspired by summer travels and Jonas Jurkūnas’ Flower and Wind after a poem of Henrikas Radauskas.
