The Christmas Music Week presents an exceptional duo of Lithuanian violinist Dalia Kuznecovaitėand French pianist Antoine de Grolée. Ever since Dalia graduated from Paris National Conservatoire (prof. B. Garlitsky and S. Roussev) in 2016 and returned to Lithuania she has been the first violin of the Vilnius String Quartet. Her stage partner Antoine also graduated from the Paris National Conservatoire. He is a prize winner of various international competitions such as Long-Thibaud in Paris, FLAME European Young Stars Classic and Teresa Llacuna.

The programme’s title was inspired by the congeniality of the works programed – the performers turn the pages of music history admiring Telemann’s baroque fantasia, bathing in the romantic sounds of Schubert, Schumann, Chopin and Wieniawski’s world, and spicing everything with the 20th century violinist, composer and conductor Efrem Zimbalist’s cheerful version after Russian composer Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera The Golden Cockerel.
