Cellist Rimantas Armonas and pianist Irena Uss, renowned Lithuanian musicians, pursue active performing career as soloists and chamber musicians in Lithuania and abroad. Their creative duo, Armonas–Uss Duo, marks the 40th anniversary of its creative career.

It is an ensemble of virtuosos who are outstanding experts of their own instruments. However, the musicians do not seek virtuoso effect, but rather delve into the interdependence of content and mood, search for inner aspirations and seek pure and unadulterated delivery.

Musicologist Jūratė Vyliūtė

This externally modest, for it does not care for publicity, ensemble is one of the foremost professional, stable and generous poles of our music culture.

Musicologist Rita Nomicaitė

During its creative career embracing four decades the Duo gave over 700 concerts in Lithuania and abroad – Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia, Belarus, Algeria. Beside traditional classical and romantic repertoire the family duo pays great attention to contemporary music, particularly by Lithuanian composers. Titled Lithuanian Rhapsode, this concertfeatures exclusively Lithuanian music from M. K. Čiurlionis to V. Germanavičius.
