Henry Purcell, Georg Friedrich Händel. Johann Sebastian Bach, J.S. Bach–Zoltán Kodály, Giovanni Bononcini, Antonio Cesti, Francesco Durante, Francesko Gasparini, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Astor Piazzolla, Maurice Ravel, Richard Rodgers

In the past three wonderful musicians – soprano Aistė Širvinskaitė, pianist Rūta Blaškytė and violinist Miglė Dikšaitienė, known as RAMuzika ensemble – have presented the Lithuanian National Philharmonic audience with Spanish, French and German music programmes.

This time they invite to a new programme Baroque Metamorphoses combining Baroque music and jazzy compositions. “We want to play, sing, listen to and experience two different styles; we seek to find their concord and playfulness. Baroque music enchants with its magnificence, graceful lightness and peacefulness; classical and jazz harmony complement each other producing colours and various shades…” relate the performers and invite to a music afternoon with the verse from George and Ira Gershwin’s song:

“I’m a little jazz bird

And I’m telling you to be one too

For a little jazz bird

Is in heaven when it’s singin’ blue”
