The Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society presents Polish violinist Janusz Wawrowski. He graduated from the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw where he studied with M. Ławrynowicz. Later the violinist honed his skills under Yair Kless and Salvatore Accardo. The young virtuoso has already appeared in such prestigious concert halls as Berlin Philharmonic, Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Mozarteum in Salzburg, De Doelen Concertgebouw in Rotterdam, Tel Aviv Music Center, Teatro Teresa Carreño in Caracas and others. The violinist has collaborated with leading Polish symphony orchestras as well as foreign collectives. In 2007, he recorded his first CD, Niccolò Paganini 24 Caprices Op.1, which require the highest professional prowess. These virtuoso miniatures brought Wawrowski international recognition. In 2013, he signed the contract with the prestigious record label Warner Classic.

Together with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra the Polish violinist will perform Concerto for violin and orchestra by his compatriot Mieczysław Karłowicz. The podium will be graced by the Honour Conductor Juozas Domarkas, who also will present a colourful retrospective of Czech romantic symphonic music: the works by Dvořák and Smetana displaying nostalgic pastoral scenes and temperamental Slavonic dances.
