Unexpected musical interactions await the listeners at the symphony music concert this Saturday. The Lithuanian audience will have a chance to hear a well known Ukrainian violinist Bogdana Pivnenko. The programme features a Lithuanian premiere of a piece by Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov, a concerto by Henri Vieuxtemps, as well as two contemporary sacred choral compositions written by Carl Jenkins, renown for his advertising soundtracks.
On March 21st, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society invites the listeners to a symphony music concert, featuring an impressive programme of works composed in the first half of the 20th century, unveiling a panorama of breakthroughs and changes in music history of the time. The Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra (LNSO) will be conducted by a French conductor Olivier Grangean, a frequent guest of the Philharmonic.
The spring joy of returning birds for the music lovers will be reinforced by the Saturday concert at the Philharmonic, welcoming two returning artists – pianist Lukas Geniušas and conductor Georg Mark. Together with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra they will perform classical pieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn.
