The Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society invites to celebrate Christmas with music and welcomes the visitors at the Christmas Music Week concerts, which will take place on December 26-28 at the Grand Hall of the Philharmonic.
He has premiered over 300 pieces for trombone and has recorded over 70 solo CDs. Conductor, composer and a trombone virtuoso Christian Lindberg is mentioned along the most prominent brass performers of the 20th century, such as Miles Davis or Louis Armstrong. On December 20th, this internationally acclaimed Swedish trombonist will give a concert in Vilnius.
On December 13th, Saturday, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of Maestro from Poland and an artistic director of the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra Mirosław Błaszczyk, who has been awarded with the Mayor of Kątowice Cultural Award for interpretation and promotion of Polish music worldwide. M. Błaszczyk dedicates the concert to Polish music and the programme features select masterpieces of the Polish composers.
