Part of the FAMILY SERIES
The Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society carries on with the unique tradition –presenting our young talents on the big stage. This time the listeners are welcomed to meet three twenty-years-olds who despite their young age have left open-mouthed many a listener around the world.
Born in Poznan, violinist Agata Daraškaitė moved to Vilnius in 1992. At the age fifteen she went to study in London. Today she is a winner of several prestigious competitions and the principal violin of the Royal College of Music orchestra.
The direction in life of cellist Justas Kulikauskas, born to a family of musicians, was not difficult to forecast. Laurels in competitions enabled him to appear on the big stage together with Lithuanian symphony and chamber orchestras as well as various ensembles.
Pianist Motiejus Bazaras, a student at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, is known not only for his prizes in various piano competitions, but also his openness to new musical ideas, and experiments in the fields of electronic music and jazz.
