A prominent concert pianist, composer, Doctor of Philosophy, author of various theoretical and literary writings, originator and organiser of the festivals, creative and unique teacher (in addition to that – the Honorary Council of the Republic of Lithuania in Switzerland), Michel Sogny has founded the SOS Talents Foundation in 2000. The founder admits that in his scouting for gifted young pianists he usually relies on his intuition and initially notices those who “have retained their inborn bond with music.” M. Sogny often searches for this kind of naturalness in Eastern European music cultures as well as in Lithuania (currently, the Foundation supports several Lithuanian pianists).
