Part of the CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES
Beautiful and zestful coloratura soprano Magali Léger, hailed a true French Caribbean pearl, is considered to be a living national treasure. She has earned accolades not only in France, but also other major cities of Europe and the USA. Together with pianist Rémy Cardinale, an ardent chamber music advocate admired for his performances on authentic instruments, the soprano will perform mazurkas by Fryderyk Chopin. Pauline Viardot-García, a renowned 19th c. French singer, pedagogue, composer and pianist who often sided the composer in piano duo performances, did these arrangements for voice and piano. Chopin approved of her arrangements and even assisted her in this.
