Hailed as a mesmerising soloist and having appeared in sensational international concert tours with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, J.Rachlin presents a fascinating project. The programme features two comparable works written 250 years apart. A.Vivaldi was a virtuoso violinist himself, well known for his innovative playing techniques. References to Vivaldi are obvious in Piazzolla’s cycle, a masterful marriage of classical elements with those of tango.
