The concerts by Vilnius String Quartet are always filled with solemn element and sombre respect for art of sound. The ensemble enchants with professional approach to a musical work performed as well as highest calibre stage partners. For the traditional Christmas Music Week concert the Vilnius String Quartet teams up with pianist Golda Vainberg-Tatz (USA), trumpeter Algirdas Januševičius, clarinettist Vytautas Giedraitis and double bassist Arnoldas Gurinavičius. The musicians invite to revel in the 19th – 20th century music gems: romantic Piano Quintet by Dvořák, Saint-Saëns’ tempestuous composition for seven instruments and Prokofiev’s Overture on Hebrew Themes for piano, clarinet and string quartet.
