Piano music connoisseurs are invited to a meeting with Peter Laul, a pianist born in Sankt Petersburg. He has appeared in Russia’s main concert halls – Philharmonic Hall and Symphony Hall of Mariinsky Theatre in Sankt Petersburg, Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow as well as prestigious concert halls in Europe and New York. Since Laul earned first prize at the Scriabin International Piano Competition in Moscow in 2000, Scriabin’s music has occupied very important place in his repertoire. Dominated by Scriabin’s piano music, his discography (Harmonia Mundi, Aeon, Naxos, Marquis Classics, Querstand, Integral Classics, King Records, Northern Flowers) has earned critical recognition. Tonight the pianist presents retrospective of Scriabin’s piano works: from the subtlest small-scale miniatures to explosive sonatas and poems.
