Three years ago Japanese-born German cellist Danjulo Ishizaka, the winner of prestigious international competitions in Spain, Poland, Germany and Sweden, has mesmerised Lithuanian audience, performing with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra. The soloist earned international recognition in 2003, appearing with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra under Krzysztof Penderecki whose Cello Concerto will be performed tonight as well. Mr. Ishizaka has appeared with the world's leading orchestras. Frankfurt Allgemeine Zeitung has named him a new genius. Exclusive contract with the Sony Classical attests his extraordinary success. Mr. Ishizaka performs on Lord Ayleford made by Antonio Stradivari.
