Part of ORCHESTRAL MUSIC SERIES

“For its esprit, charm, imagination... the Kremerata Baltica orchestra is unequalled” (Los Angeles Times). Today Kremerata Baltica chamber orchestra can be called the ambassador of culture of the Baltic region in the world. The orchestra was formed in 1997 by violinist Gidon Kremer. Kremerata Baltica annually performs about 60 concerts during six annual tours throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. The audiences and critics praise the quality of the orchestra, its extraordinarily musical members and the Artistic Director’s innovatory approach to programming. The main accent in the orchestra’s repertoire is often given to contemporary academic music. On 9 October the listeners will be introduced to two 21st-century scores, which were composed specially for Kremerata Baltica by Raminta Šerkšnytė and Dobrinka Tabakova.
