Part of the NIGHT SERENADES series
A few years ago Sergej Krylov was named one of the world’s five best violinists by late maestro Mstislav Rostropovich. After his successful appearances at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Hall, Sergej Krylov was appointed Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra in December 2008. After his recital at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Hall in November 2008, the reviewer of the weekly 7 meno dienos did not spare superlatives: “Talking about the Paganini Caprices, I can say without reservation: there was never such a musical, artistic and at the same time technical perfection in their interpretation before Krylov performed them in our hall” (Živilė Ramoškaitė). At the helm of the LCO he will interpret Mozart’s Symphony No. 29, written during his Salzburg period, and Vivaldi’s series of four violin concertos, depicting the elements of nature.
