Part of the NIGHT SERENADES concert series

This programme showcases Baroque vocal music and Italian culture that prevailed throughout Europe at the time. Händel’s arias from opera seria written in the style of Italian masque and pastorale and influenced by vocal serenade, reveal the composer’s fascination with the Italian tradition. The 18th century intellectuals had this to say about the sacred music by Neapolitan Pergolesi and Venetian Vivaldi: “it becomes the symbol of Italian music paragon; it satiates the listener psychologically; it is distinct from austere sacred works by Bach, Buxtehude and other Germans.” These vocal works will be performed by the distinguished singers of two different generations – Inesa Linaburgytė and Raminta Vaicekauskaitė.

Tickets: Lt30

Tickets available at the concert venue one hour prior to the start of a performance.
