Led by Martynas Staškus the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, our leading and most professional collective, will share the stage with the performers that where educated in Lithuania and currently are honing their skills abroad. Two of them study in Great Britain: flutist Vytenis Gustis – at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and pianist Ugnius Pauliukonis – at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Pianist Simona Zajančiauskaitė and cellist Dmitrij Berezin study at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia. Their professional biographies are eventful and list of international awards is long. Thus this Sunday afternoon will be the feast of unfolding talents.
