Bach’s strikingly beautiful cantata Magnificat, dotted with islets of sadness yet dominated by cheerful musical imagery, will highlight this festive programme. Sergei Babayan, a winner of Casadesus (USA), Queen Elisabeth (Belgium), Busoni (Italy) and Hamamatsu (Japan) international piano competitions, who has performed with the LNSO last May, will appear not only at the piano, but also on the podium. The pianist took part in “The White Nights” (St Petersburg), Lucerne, Oxford and Chopin festivals, appeared with world’s leading orchestras and conductors and earned accolades from public and critics alike.

Tickets subject to availability at the National Philharmonic Box Office. Please pay attention to the opening hours of the box office during Christmas holidays.
