Part of the CHRISTMAS MUSIC WEEK

In an interview for the French magazine Piano Mūza Rubackytė said: “Perfection is a chimera, which we pursue all the time. As soon as we are successful in expressing a certain idea that is instrumental for a work we perform, we find ourselves on a threshold of new and very toilsome quest. You have touched on the question of perpetual tension – aspiration for life in music. It is an infinite quest. Dissatisfaction and disappointment always accompanies you, but it is vital to the artistic creation."

Mūza Rubackytė has chosen excellent instrumentalists. She will perform Piazzolla’s works together with double bassist Hans Roelofsen, already known to Lithuanian audience; the pianist’s other partner is Daishin Kashimoto, a violin virtuoso, winner of Kreisler (Austria) and Thibaud (France) international competitions. The violinist plays the 1722 Stradivarius Jupiter.
