Part of the CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES

Violinist Algimantas Peseckas has played in the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra for more than 25 years (for 17 years he has been its principal violin). The same amount of years he has worked with the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre orchestra, only here he has been a guest principal violin. However, Algimantas Peseckas’ wife Vilija has been associated with the LNSO even longer; like her husband she enjoys chamber music. This time joined by Eglė Vosyliūtė, an accompanist at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, the musicians will perform classical-romantic programme: from classical Sonata by Haydn to late romanticist Ernest Bloch’s work affected by Jewish religion, mysticism and ethnic music.
