Algirdas Budrys joins the Čiurlionis Quartet in its anniversary concert series. The clarinettist always enthrals international critics and audiences alike with the beauty of his sound as well as emotional and logical interpretations. When talking about an array of the subtlest nuances in Budrys’ playing, commentator of musical events in Cairo (Egypt) compared him to a jeweller polishing a gem stone. The performer has an inborn sense of style enabling him to interpret wide repertoire from classical, romantic and impressionistic to contemporary works. Flutist Algirdas Vizgirda commented on the art of his colleague: “exceptionally pleasant timbre of his clarinet. When playing in an ensemble you always wait for Budrys’ entrance – right away the ensemble is lit by warm, sunny, golden colour.”
