Part of the CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES
Three bright and cheerful virtuosos met at the Marlboro Music Festival and formed the Trio Cavatina in 2005. “Everything starts and ends in music, but sometimes we find time for cooking, yoga, golf, films and quality wine.” Despite their recent start, Trio Cavatina is already deeply rooted in a strong sense of shared musical values and goals. The Trio focuses on classical and romantic repertoire, but is also committed to performing 20th century and newly composed works, and has worked with American composer Leon Kirchner. After completing the New England Conservatory’s Professional Piano Trio Training Program in 2006-07 and giving debut performances in New York and Boston, it became evident that these three gifted emerging artists would bring a fresh, new voice to their audiences.
