Part of the CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES

On Autumnal Sunday afternoon the Museum of Applied Art invites to the musical meeting with Vilnius String Quartet and Russian pianist Olga Soloviova. The musicians promise an eventful and interesting concert – introduction to the music of Boris Tchaikovsky (1925–1996), the renowned Russian composer. He was especially admired by Dmitry Shostakovich, while Mstislav Rostropovich called him genius. Boris Tchaikovsky’s symphonic works were performed by a number of prestigious orchestras around the world. It is often said, that there is hardly another nation that could pride itself on two such profound composers sharing the same name. Concert programme features B. Tchaikovsky’s Piano Quintet in A minor and Brahms’ romantic Piano Quintet in F minor.
