“Excellent concord, natural complement of one another at the same time withholding the individuality of every member – that is the most salient feature of Vilniaus arsenalas. Of course, only masters are capable of making use of the potential of different creative and psychological personalities to generate indivisible, original and suggestive wholeness”, musicologist Rimutė Brilienė described Vilniaus arsenalas chamber ensemble. Having given more than 1000 concerts, it presents one more interesting programme.
The ensemble is very much into Lithuanian contemporary academic music, has inspired many a new opus. This afternoon Vilniaus arsenalas will perform works by Jonas Tamulionis and Jurgis Juozapaitis, the vernal opuses by Mozart and Schubert, as well as Invierno porteño and Primavera porteña from Cuatro estaciónes porteñas by Astor Piazzolla.
